Google Reader Theme

Via Lifehacker: Somebody created a CSS stylesheet to tweak Google Reader into looking like a Mac app (check out the site for some screenshots).  Neato!  If you use Firefox, you’ll need an extension called Stylish to make it work.  Otherwise, the site has other install methods for different browsers.  I guess this also works on Windows, but a commenter on the developer’s site claims that because of difference in fonts between OS X and Windows, the Windows Firefox version looks a bit “off”.  I’ll have to see.

I’m a big fan of Google Reader, but do admit that it could look a little better.  I’ll have to try this theme out soon. šŸ™‚

  1. I gave this a try on Friday and I’m liking it on my MacBook Pro. Some of my feed titles are a little long, so the number of unread items is overlaid on a few titles; other than that, I’m pretty happy with it. Of course, since it’s a custom CSS, I suppose I could tweak away as well…
