B-day present for the hubby

Just pulled the trigger on buying a netbook upgrade for the hubby — an Asus Eee PC 1000H. Why am I blogging this? Well, I’m pretty sure the hubby will not see this post if I don’t point it out to him.
Also, I bought it through the Amazon web store he has set up, so the secrecy is pretty much a non-issue.
He likes the Eee PC we bought from Kevin Tofel of JK On the Run fame, but the small screen has been bothering him lately, so I hope he likes this upgrade for his b-day.
Waiting for Asus

Grrr! I just saw on GottaBeMobile that the Asus R2H UMPC is supposedly going to be delayed a couple months. I know I've been talking up the Sony UX micro-PC but I'm still eager to see how the Asus device is.
Actually, before I became an avid Tablet PC user, I really wanted to get an Asus thin and light laptop. I felt that they had one of the more sleek laptop lines that could rival Powerbooks. The only other line of Windows notebooks I liked was Sony's (big surprise!). I was really happy to hear that Asus was getting into the UMPC business. Besides their hardware design for the R2H, I was impressed that you could get one with built-in GPS.
If Asus can deliver this

and this

then I think they can be pretty successful. So hurry up, Asus! give mea reason to change my mind about the Sony UX!
