Yay!
Because sometimes I just can't let things go, I checked the CheapAssGamer forum thread about the Nintendo DS Lites, hoping to see some news about a local store's availability, or that the release date got moved up. And wouldn't you know, I found a lead! Thanks to jbobchi, I went to the Meijer in Bolingbrook and successfully snagged a DS Lite and a couple puzzle-type games. This is basically the "Brain Games Bundle" on Amazon.com that I would've pressed the hubby to get me for my b-day, and I got it for a few bucks cheaper than Amazon's price, not including shipping. Yay! 
The cute little DS is charging up now. I might post some pictures with my PSP later this weekend to show size comparison or something. I'll write up a little review of it later after I've had a chance to play some games for a while. Woo! What a nice way to end the week and start the weekend.

Hey, Russ! You finally commented on something.
I’d play Tetris over the Internets with you… But a) you’d probably totally beat the crap out of me, and b) I haven’t tried connecting the DS Lite over my wireless router yet, so I don’t know if it will be compatible. I’ll try it sometime, though.
